i believe the update was a client side only

Yep, it updated me, but nothing is in the "Update News" which means it was client side only. I was getting worried.

I have come home to face some messages about the possibility of another bug found?? zombie is down on mine also, and HLSW shows no meta.. 2 servers without meta in 1 day.. co-incidence or design.

Meta back on and zombie is back, metadata.ini file was cleaned??

I crossed my fingers when CS:S updated yesterday. My server was running fine last night. When I came home from work tonight, the update finally hit my server. I rent my server, so they are at a different location and probably didn't get the update right away.

Regardless, the company leasing me the server fixed the issue. Chances are you'll have to reinstall metamod to get your server back up.

Add the metamod line to your gameinfo.txt and stop starting rumors.
