3 Steam id's i have banned for this are:

banid 0 STEAM_0:0:12128577
banid 0 STEAM_0:1:7008840
banid 0 STEAM_0:0:11203722

first one is known by all, 2nd one is his mate, and may have something to do with how he unbans himself (clears file) and the 3rd one as soon as he came on, it happend, banned him, all back to normal.

COLDFRY mate if u can fix this, ill send ya $20 for ure help.

Happend early hours on my friends NY Server. It was NOT the update that cause this

I had it happen tonight on my server as well... It seems to kill people when you would jump.... Anyway, I have narrowed it down to one person...

One of the noobs did say it was a zombie mod specific exploit, and that they were doing it cos its owner had "made fun of him" as he said it when he was new to scripting.

at that point i didnt know the guy i was chattin 2 was involved in this..

I dont know much about how this stuff works, but i dont know how someone can run their own script on a server

is there a general way to stop this?


PS: they are able to do something to the server that it restarts and the ban file goes clean, thats how they keep coming back on mine.. any ideas how this is happening? at this rate i will be closing the zombie servers down 2nite.. i cant even get them to load now!

I wont get to look into this untill the weekend, if you can find a way to restrict commands; you may be able to stop this by restricting the ent_fire command.

u know sv_cheats command right?

when u type noclip for instance nothing happens right?

in the server

if the sv_cheats command was set to 0(off) it will say a message like: cant use cheat cvar bla bla bla

so a guy that understands the css code know that cheats are on

c0ldfry just "disabled" noclip from players

but he forget to disable this command, that gives you ability to change things like, teleport, gravity, burn....

so its not an exploit just a zombie mod coding problem

a guy that knows the command very well can use it for bad things

like the other guy did

this command can be used with many arguments

a argument to burn another to teleport.....

if u telelport all players to the same position

it will lag

if u burn them

it will lag more

and more
the seerver will overload and restart it self
