Post subject: GoreMod 3.2.5.0 will not load...
|

This version won't load on server startup, when I try to manually load it, I get this message:
Code: | Failed to load plugin addons/goremod/bin/goremod_mm <Plugin API 9 is newer than internal version <8>> |
I am currently running sourcemm v. 1.2.3 on a CS:S DS
Windows Server 2003 O/S
Is there a fix for this? |

Can't load on server startup,
Windows Version Gore_Mod for (MM:S V1.2.3 or V1.3)
make for addons\metamod\metaplugins.ini
addons\goremod\bin\goremod_mm
This can load Gore_MOD plugin! _________________ I Love Debian Linux apt-get into it.

Honestly, did the error message not tell you everything you needed to know?

That a little clearer?
Once more just incase...
YOUR GOREMOD VERSION IS NEWER THAN YOUR METAMOD VERSION.
I refuse to recommend a course of action because if it isnt perfectly clear at this stage it never will be. |

I appreciate the help as I didn't know there was a newer version of MM out and installing it did fix the mess, however, comments like this one (Honestly, did the error message not tell you everything you needed to know?) to me or anyone else shows an abnormally high level of arrogance on your part.
I truly believed these boards were here to help people, I still do, but you don't help someone by insulting them or intentionally trying to make them feel inferior.
I used to be a member of several other boards in the past that allowed this type of behavior, and honestly, all but one no longer exists, and for this reason. People quit going to them due to being insulted for asking questions, they lost their "key demographic" over it and with that, their popularity. A little advise for what it's worth..., if you claim to be here to help those with problems, then help politely, we don't all know how to code ASCII, C++, etc.
Thanks again for the help, it's working great now, and just for future reference, now I know what to do if I see this again. |

Capt Fuzzy, I pay for this website and I make the plugins and offer them to you for no cost what so ever, if I want to be in a bad mood I will be.
You don't need to know C++ or 'ASCII' to understand an error message, and it doesn't just apply to CS:S plugins, it applies to computing in general.
Regardless of what you know and what you don't know, whenever there is a problem what is the FIRST RULE OF COMPUTERS?
UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE.
And as for 'allowing' this kind of behaviour.... I own this domain, the hosting and the plugins so I can tollerate myself perfectly well thank you very much. |
