Post subject: Flashing Red "ERROR"
|
|
|
|
I installed everything, and it launched without error. But when I look at the hosties, all I get is big red letters that say "ERROR" where the hosties should be. Funny how they'll follow me around like hosties, but not quite what I was expecting. I couldn't find any similar issues. This is version 2.1.2. I'm excited to get it going, this is an awesome mod...
I installed many model packs. All are in the resource/hostitron/xxx sub directories and I put the exec lines in the hosti.cfg.
I'm running dedicated server (console) with meta and mani. Only other active meta plugin is statsmemin.
The server logs this:
Quote: | L 05/28/2006 - 22:09:35: [HOSTI] Should be enabled Yes ? 4 7 |
which based on other posts seems normal. The only other oddity is that it downloads the resources EVERY time, but that may just be my bad on another config...
Here's an image of the error...
Thanks in advance for the help |

Download the Hosti files again..
Open check directory structure.
Then open your personal steam directory, and check that the exact same files, are in the right location compared to what U dl'ed. |

They are not supposed to be in the resource/ folder.
Models in the cstrike/models/hostitron/PACK folder and materials in cstrike/materials/hostitron/PACK folder.
The zip files can be extracted to your cstrike folder if you keep the directory structure in tact. |

Ok, thanks for the help. I redid everything and the error persists. I am installing the sumo pack. Here are the exacts where everything installed:
Models (in a homer and monty subfolder) went to:
\cstrike\models\hostitron\sumo
My hostitron is installed at:
cstrike\addons\hostitron\bin
My metamod is installed at:
\cstrike\addons\metamod\bin
My metaplugins.cfg is at:
\cstrike\addons\metamod
and has the line: addons/hostitron/bin/hostitron_mm
I added the following line to my hostitron.cfg:
exec hostitron/sumo.cfg
I installed all zips from the cstrike root. The files all download, but it won't work. There is another hostitron directory under materials, that was the one I put in my previous post, but I did it all from the root. They all seem present.
The testing client has a hostitron directory at:
\counter-strike\cstrike\materials\models
\counter-strike\cstrike\models
but I had to manually put the there.
Let me know if you need anything else to check. Thanks for your help. Happy Memorial Day! |

Do you use sv_downloadurl?
If you had to manually put anything on the client then your setup is wrong. |
